Who We Are

Our team combines deep expertise in epigenetics, immunology and high-dimensional single-cell analysis with hands-on experience taking therapies from bench to market.

We didn’t set out to build a company — we set out to answer a scientific question we couldn’t answer with existing tools: when a disease or a drug alters gene regulation, does it change just one epigenetic mark, or several at once, in the same cell — and how does that compare to a healthy cell or untreated cell? That question matters especially in therapies — it’s often what decides whether a compound is truly specific, or whether it’s quietly affecting other marks too, the kind of side effect that only shows up later in development. Sequencing-based methods could only answer that for a handful of marks at a time, at real cost and complexity. Mass cytometry could look at more marks together, but only in specialised academic settings, at high cost. So we built a platform that does both: many marks, single-cell resolution, in one fast and affordable assay.

Today that platform is helping academic groups uncover new therapeutic targets and helping pharmaceutical partners validate drug candidates faster and with more confidence.

Spectral Discovery is led by a team that combines academic depth with industry execution experience — including leadership that has taken therapeutics from the lab to market, with a track record of co-founding biotech ventures and launching approved drugs. This blend is deliberate: our goal is not just publishing a new method, but making it a dependable tool researchers and companies can build on.
